Louisiana presents the first comprehensive exhibition in Europe with the Venezuelan-American artist Marisol (1930-2016). She stands as one of the most radical and visionary artists of her generation.

Jon Rafman’s seminal work, Nine Eyes, which first began back in 2008, focuses on both the everyday and the existential aspects of life in the day and age of digital surveillance.

Moroccan-French artist Bouchra Khalili develops collaborative strategies of storytelling with members of communities excluded from citizen membership.

Permanent Exhibition

The works of Alberto Giacometti constitute a great pillar of the Louisiana Collection. The museum’s large collection of his original sculptures interplay perfectly with the architecture of Louisiana.

A WALK IN THE PARK

Nine signature works outside

In the series ‘A Walk in the Park’, the museum’s director Poul Erik Tøjner guides us to a number of the park’s signature works.

The nine short films in the series range from the pop artist Roy Lichtenstein’s yellow brushstrokes over Henry Heerup’s granite figures to Alicja Kwade’s stone globes and Alexander Calder’s three masterpieces in front of the café.

Join us in the Children’s Wing

Get creative in our free workshops for children and young people. The Lake Garden also offers plenty of space to play hide-and-seek and whizzing down our famous slide. Children under 18 get free entrance to the museum and all workshops are free.

Louisiana Channel is a non-profit website that provides culture to the Internet, extending beyond the museum’s own events. The Louisiana team produces videos about art and culture on an ongoing basis. New videos are posted at the site every week.
