PLANNING YOUR VISIT

Hearing and visually impaired: By contacting our Visitor Services in advance it is possible to obtain permission to touch selected sculptures with gloves.

Service dogs are permitted in the museum and park, but please inform us in advance so we can advise our staff.

The Concert Hall is equipped with equipment for transmission to hearing aids.

Visitors with disabilities can bring with them a person to help them free of charge.

You can also borrow folding chairs in most of our temporary exhibitions.

At Louisiana we support the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower programme – read more below.

DURING YOUR VISIT

Yes, you will need to buy an entrance ticket or a Louisiana membership if you wish to visit either the museum’s café, shop or Sculpture Park.

Children and young adults up to 18 have free entry. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

The admissions counter, the café and shop accept a large selection of credit cards and a large selection of different currencies. Please note, that when you pay cash in foreign currency, you will receive Danish Kroner in return.

There are usually not that many guests from late afternoon on weekdays and until the museum closes at 22. This is the time we advise you to visit if you enjoy a calmer atmosphere. Also easier to find a parking space.

Weekends/holidays are often busier, and especially right after a new exhibition has opened or a popular one is soon to close.

If you bring food from outside the museum, you need to eat it in the park – in the Lake Garden by the Children’s Wing you will find a pavillon, where you can sit with your packed lunch. Please note this pavillon is also used for educational purposes at times.

Larger picnic parties in the park unfortunately are not allowed.

You will find level entrance for prams on the right hand side in the courtyard though the automatic door.

Smaller strollers can be brought into the galleries. Prams and larger strollers should be stored in the museum’s pram parking area on the lower level of the shop. Here you can also borrow a small stroller by a deposit of DKK 20.

Animals are not allowed inside the museum or in the park.

Please inform us beforehand of your visit day and hour by writing to mail@louisiana.dk if you are accompanied by an authorized service dog.

Please note that if you have not reported it in advance or have valid identification on your service dog, you may be refused entry to the museum.
